Exploring the inside of the pumpkin
Exploring the inside of the pumpkin

Fall is a fun time of year at Schley County Elementary!  Mrs. Peacock’s third grade students have been learning a lot about pumpkins.  They have been studying about the pumpkin’s life cycle, facts about pumpkins, and lots of uses of pumpkins.  The class even cut open a pumpkin to feel the juicy pulp inside and scoop out some of the seeds.  Mrs. Peacock then carved the pumpkin, and the students named him “Elvis”!  They have been compiling all of their information into an informational writing piece.
